As the bell rings, Nylisha is determined to hurt this arrogant bitch, and fast. After mere seconds of moving, trying to set each other up, Nylisha sees that her opponent’s left is dangeruosly low, and launches a right intended to send Melissa flying across the ring—or beyond.
Smiling, Melissa easily slips the powerful punch, idly noting that it would have hurt if it had connected. As she’s hoped—and planned after watching Nylisha fight on TV and in person—she had a perfect opening for her favorite punch.
Timing it for the right’s maximum extension, she put all her weight and power behind a brutal left uppercut under her opponent’s arm. She is dangerously accurate as well as strong, and the blow landed exactly where she wanted it to, sending waves of pain through the big girl. More important, a punch landing in the right spot seriously weakens the arm—and it landed EXACTLY where she intended it. 15 seconds into the fight, and Nylisha’s right is badly weakened.
Though, as promised by Melissa, it should take many rounds, this punch quite possibly decided the fight…
